Shipping Policy

For orders within Canada:
*For purchases of “Cacao Life” branded products that subtotal CAN$100 or more, one f
ree "Cacao Life" branded product with a net weight of 227g or less of the purchasers choice at the time of purchase will be included in the same shipment. The purchaser must indicate the product of choice in the cart note section at the time of purchase. Please DO NOT add the free product to the cart or else the purchaser will be charged for that product. If
the purchaser does not indicate the free product of choice at the time of purchase in the cart note section, one product will be selected by the shipper. The free "Cacao Life" branded product is subject to availability and cannot be exchanged. Cannot be combined with other offers.

For orders within the USA (lower 48 states):

*For purchases of “Cacao Life” branded products that subtotal US$100 or more, one free "Cacao Life" branded product with a net weight of 227g or less of the purchasers choice at the time of purchase will be included in the same shipment. The purchaser must indicate the product of choice in the cart note section at the time of purchase. Please DO NOT add the free product to the cart or else the purchaser will be charged for that product. Order Processing
Please keep in mind that in North America we are a small team working out of Vancouver, BC. We will strive to process orders as quickly as possible, and in-stock items will be processed and shipped within 2-4 business days for your order to be completely processed for shipping. You will receive a notification when your order has shipped.

When shipping chocolate:
Shipping chocolate can be very tricky. Our goal is to ensure that you received your chocolate in the same condition it left our facility, but because of the unknown weather conditions along the route to your door we are unable to guarantee  that the chocolate products will arrive in their optimal state.  To minimize all travel risks, your chocolate will be shipped on Monday or Tuesday (This is because if shipped later in the week, the package may be stuck over the weekend in FedEx/UPS/Purolator/DHL’s warehouse).  Chocolate orders that are placed mid-to-late week will be prepared and shipped the following Monday or Tuesday.


To further minimize any risk, during the warm months (where temperatures may rise at any given point above 27°C / 81°F), we will ship your chocolate with ice packs. We reserve the right to hold an order if we think it is too hot (this usually means over 35°C / 95°F). We also reserve the right to call you and ask if you want to upgrade to an expedited shipping service if we believe that the warm weather will prevent your chocolate from arriving safely. This might mean that you may not qualify for free standard shipping and an additional cost may be incurred.

 

Local Pick Up
If you’re within driving distance to Vancouver, BC, Canada, you may skip the shipping fees with free local pick up at our office. After placing your order and selecting local pick up at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1 to 3 business days. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with pick up instructions.

Domestic and International Shipping Rates and Estimates
Shipping options and charges for your order will be calculated and displayed during checkout. 

Our shipping services are provided through Freightcom, a consolidation service provider that partners with the top shipping companies (like FedEx, UPS, DHL, Purolator, and others), to ensure quality and efficient coast-to-coast service at the best rates possible.

 

Lost Courier Packages

If you suspect your parcel has been lost in transit, please contact us before 21 days has passed since receiving your tracking number.  Shipping couriers such as UPS or Purolator have a set timeline for when they can investigate when a package was lost.
