Aurelio Loret De Mola
Co-Founder
Our resident cacao nerd with nearly 20 years of hands-on experience working with cacao and other Peruvian superfoods. Prior to co-founding Amazon Specialties, Aurelio was implementing sustainable infrastructures and processes in Indigenous Amazonian communities, sowing dozens of hectares of cocoa as General Manager of InkaCao, supervising processing plants, and advising on chocolate projects.
When he’s not overseeing our Lima operations, managing relationships with farming co-ops, and supervising product development, he’s judging at the Salon du Chocolate Lima, adventure travelling, paddle boarding, and trying new recipes. Oh, and daydreaming about cacao.
Marco Fernandez-Concha
Co-Founder
After nearly 15 years as an Account Executive for a software company and as International Director of Sales for a company specializing in intelligent energy systems and broadband over power lines (he knows, boring), Marco decided he needed to follow his real passion: showing the world what Peru has to offer.
Now, at Amazon Specialties, he runs our North American office, leads international sales and customer relationship management, and gets to help small-scale Peruvian farmers thrive by ensuring our customers around the globe get to experience the endless nutritional benefits of Peruvian cacao.
In his spare time, he like’s catching a movie, eating delicious things, hitting the gym, and losing to his brother at tennis because, obviously, his brother wrote this.
Giacomo Alvarez
Director of Manufacturing & Sourcing Wizard
Giacomo is an agro-industrial engineer with extensive experience in the area of food processes focused on the transformation of superfoods and international certifications. At Cacao Life, his expertise shines in farmer relationships, product development, process optimizations, and certification management.
In his spare time, Giacomo loves running, shooting pool, and showboating on the soccer pitch.
Stephanie Pellny
Office Admin Guru
Stephanie is a professionally trained chef from Le Cordon Bleu Peru and social media food content creator, La Gastronauta. With over ten years of experience in the culinary industry (restaurants and head office), Stephanie brings to Cacao Life her uncanny administration skills, knowledge of evolving food trends, and a keen marketing eye.
She loves hosting dinner parties, spending quality time with her three cats (Mango, Pepe, and Tuno), and kickboxing. But never all three at once.
